The educational support and social integration program seeks to prevent children from dropping out of school before developing their literacy skills. In addition, it supports the development of social and learning skills associated with educational achievement, giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds the chance to become active and responsible citizens of their community. The multidisciplinary team behind the program is made up of social workers, teachers, psychologists, youth workers, as well as youth and senior volunteers.

• One-on-one support in doing school homework and basic literacy activities;
• Running non-formal curricula tailored to children’s developmental and learning needs and focused on developing and expanding their life skills;
• Participation of children in recreational activities;
• Counseling sessions and psycho-emotional support;
• Community integration activities for children and young people through joint sessions with partner schools;
• Support groups for parents and regular meetings to encourage their involvement and to provide them with legal, material and administrative support to prevent children from dropping out of school;
• Inclusion of members of the community as volunteers in activities to raise awareness of the needs of children;

During 2023, the team of Inocenti specialists together with 51 volunteers supported:
