In Bistrița – Năsăud county, the first educational support and social integration program started in 2008. Later, in 2012, the service was licensed under the name “Little Innocents” Day Center. In addition, since 2010, we have also been running school-after-school activities in Reteag (Bistrita Năsăud county), and, as of 2018, we have extended our support to Mintiu Gherlii (Cluj county).

The educational support and social integration program seeks to prevent children from dropping out of school before developing their literacy skills. In addition, it supports the development of social and learning skills associated with educational achievement, giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds the chance to become active and responsible citizens of their community. The multidisciplinary team behind the program is made up of social workers, teachers, psychologists, youth workers, as well as youth and senior volunteers.
