Hello! My name is Cami Simpson, and welcome to my page!
I am currently 21 years old, and I am completing my final semester as an Industrial & Systems Engineering student at the University of Southern California.
This page is a space to provide insight on the different challenges I’ve completed and will continue to complete each year in the effort of earning your sponsorship. I invite you all to read about the significance and history of each challenge, as well as why I am so passionate about supporting Fundatia Inocenti/Romanian Children’s Relief. Please feel free to check out all my past challenges on the interactive map below!
This will be my 9th year of raising money for RCR. On July 10th, I will be hiking down 5,000 feet of the beautiful Grand Canyon and all the way back up in one day! My family and I will hike the south Kaibab Trail (steeper) down, and cross the Colorado River at the bottom. From there, we will continue to the Bright Angel Campground where we will allow ourselves a short break to eat lunch. Finally, we will hike the Bright Angel Trail (longer) back up to the rim, completing a total of 16.3 miles. It is most definitely a challenge to complete this grueling hike in such a short amount of time, but with a mission and purpose in mind, I can do this! I am extremely eager to experience such a beautiful wonder, while challenging myself both physically and mentally for a very dear cause to me.
Please consider supporting my effort by donating through my website. It’s very simple, fast, and secure.
I appreciate your generosity and kind support. Please feel free to spread the word!
With many THANKS,
Cami Simpson
